1st Pitch

The art of the pitch is an essential skill that every changemaker needs, and practice make perfect. 1st Pitch is an opportunity to pitch your idea, project, or problem you want to solve or join your peers to forge relationships with potential co-founders and teammates.

There are two ways to participate: All Rice* students can enter to pitch their idea or attend and watch pitches from their peers.

There’s no selection process for pitches – everyone will get a chance to present for 60 seconds to share their vision and let the group know what you are looking for (e.g., mentors, co-founders, customers, etc.)

You don’t need any particular background or prior practice – we’ll teach you how to give a compelling 60-second pitch of your idea to solve the problem you’re most passionate about.
