Kickstart The School Year With Lilie’s Grad Student Change Maker Summit
Before diving into classes this year at Rice University, we invite you to join us for the Graduate Change Maker Summit for graduate students with the Liu Idea Lab for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (Lilie).
Meet your entrepreneurial community: meet the other graduate students looking to make a career out of solving problems and meet Rice faculty and partners who want to support you throughout your Rice journey. Whether you are already a founder or are looking to be one down the line, there is no better time to dive in and get your feet wet in the world of entrepreneurship and innovation.
At the Lilie Graduate Change Maker Summit, day one will be jam-packed with everything you need to know about entrepreneurship at Rice. We’ll cap day one off by hearing from alumni change-makers before transitioning to happy hour. Day two will be a hackathon where you’ll spend eight hours working with a team to solve a problem. Sound scary? Don’t worry, we’ll equip you with the tools you need to succeed. Entrepreneurship is uncomfortable. Our goal is to help you get more comfortable being uncomfortable, equip you with the resources to navigate your entrepreneurial journey, and ensure you have a community of people to support you along the way.
WHEN?
In-person on Saturday, August 6th and Sunday, August 7th
WHO?
All Rice University graduate students (all expected graduation years and degree types) and incoming/first-year Rice University MBA are welcome to apply!
WHERE?
Liu Idea Lab for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Cambridge Office Building 130)
COSTS?
All materials, software costs, and meals will be covered.
