Rice Business Entrepreneurship Labs (E-Labs) are designed to provide students the opportunity to work in real world settings, complemented by classroom learning.

In the E-Labs, students can jump start their own venture, acquire a business, and work and network within the Houston entrepreneurial and investment community.  E-Labs are open to second year MBA students, and students  are required to enroll in an E-Lab in order to complete requirements for the Entrepreneurship concentration.

E-Labs require 15 hours of work per week. Work is expected to be onsite at the organization, at least 10 hours a week during regular business hours.  We therefore recommend concentrating classes in the evenings or on two days of the week, so as to leave free days for onsite E-Lab participation. In addition to the work with the sponsoring organization or project, at the end of each term students will be required to write a summary report of the experience. Students will receive 3 hours of credit for two terms of participation and a grade of either Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory.

Application Process
